60x60 Project | |
60x60 is concert designed of 60 works by 60 composers, 60 seconds or less in length, to make a continuous one hour long concert. |
These sixty pieces, also referred to as "signature works", will be performed in a continuos concert exactly one hour long. An analog clock marks the passage of time. Each pieces starts at the beginning of each minute. Works less than 60 seconds are padded with time before or after the work. |
The goal of this project is to include many composers to represent a cross-section of contemporary music, representing many different styles and aesthetics as well as to produce concerts in as many venues throughout the world as possible exposing audiences to the variety of todays music composition. |
