History of Fifteen Minutes of Fame |
Fifteen Minutes of Fame was an amalgamation of several ideas. The first is the need to promote contemporary chamber music that would be a great format for contemporary musicians to play and at the same time be great for audiences to listen to. With the success of the 60x60 project suggestions were constantly made to creat an acoustic 60x60. On Robert Voisey's celebratory concert for his birthday a suggestion was made to call for one minute piano pieces dedicated to him in his honor. Fifteen one-minute compositions were chosen and labeled Fifteen Minutes of Fame and was enjoyed by the audience. The idea was enjoyed by the audience and musicians so much it was decided to modify and continue the project to promote composers and contemporary musicians.

History of XMV |
XMV - eXperimental Music Video was a monthly video night being presented at Collective: Unconscious in Tribeca, New York City for 6 Months.
XMV was designed to present the wide world of the collaborative effort of people experimenting with video and music. From shorts to features, from psychedelic to abstract imagery, from minimmalism to edgy pop, and even live performances and dynamic video; XMV runs the gambit of what to expect and not to expect in experimental video and experimental music.
