In a joint effort with the Birmingham Art Music Alliance, Vox Novus hosted a Composer's Voice concert in the A.R.T. South Oxford Space in Brooklyn, New York. Evening of Song "Composers we have come to know" features works by Carlos Guastavino, Adrián Pagés, Robert Voisey, Juan María Solare, Alicia Terzián, Claudia Montero, Mario García Acevedo, Juan Carlo Zorzi and Astor Piazzolla. All the works were performed by Agueda Abad Pagés (Soprano) and Juan María Solare (piano) The songs on this program have one thing in common: all were written by composers who are personally acquainted with one of the two performers, Abad-Pagés or Solare.

Robert Voisey is the host of this "Composer's Voice" concert speaking not only about his musical style and his aesthetic but his vision for Vox Novus, an organization he founded to promote composers and their works. Featured performer Christine Perea, playing Flute, and Bass Flute will be accompanied by Robert Voisey who will also be singing his pieces hunger and hunger; as well as performances from Patricia Sonego, Michael Eisenberg, and Ju Ping Song. Noah Creshevsky, the host, featured composer of Vox Novus, will speak about hyper-realism. The term refers primarily to the natural origin of sounds--nearly all of which consist of preexisting bits of words, songs, and instrumental music, which he edits but rarely subject to electronic processing.
