Amor e Dissonância
Douglas DaSilva

Composer: Guitarist/curator/educator/sculptor/Artistic Director-Composer’s Voice and filmmaker, Douglas DaSilva is on a mission to let his love for music spill over into all other artistic ventures. It is his goal to make this documentary My Dad’s Violin not only as a tribute to the love between brothers, fathers and sons; but a celebration of love through music!
Amor e Dissonância: Originally titled Amor é Dissonância (Love IS Dissonance). After composing this piece I realized that it demonstrated two seemingly disparate elements, once amalgamated created something of great beauty: a unique look at the chemistry that make up a relationship between Father and Son. Amor e Dissonância (Love AND Dissonance).
Eva Ingolf
Violinist: Eva Ingolf comes from a leading musical family in Iceland. She began violin studies at a very young age, gaining early recognition for outstanding musical talent, including the beautiful tone and artistic interpretation of her playing. Her playing has been greatly influenced by the spirit of the Russian and East-European violin schools. Part-Partita
David Morneau

Composer: Described by Molly Sheridan as a "flashing beacon" of inspiration, David Morneau is a composer of an entirely undecided genre. Morneau's eclectic output is best exemplified by 60x365, his "ambitious yearlong musical project" for which he composed a new one-minute composition every day. Morneau's current ambitious project, Love Songs Project, combines Shakespeare's sonnets with contemporary poetry in genre-crossing songs. He is also curating an album of electronic music that counts down to end of the Mayan calendar for Immigrant Breast Nest, an underground electronic music label in New York City, where he is composer-in-residence. Learn more at http://5of4.com PART-PARTITA: While contemplating what to compose for this project, I recalled that my own father is a fan of Bach's unaccompanied string pieces. From there it was an easy step to find and adapt a small portion of the Sarabande from Bach's Partita no.2 in d minor. PART-PARTITA is a meditation on the Bach, lost in thought and in time.
