William Joel
	Dr. Joel, Professor of Computer Science at Western Connecticut State University, has been composing since high school. An educator by vocation, and a composer by avocation, he has focussed on the creation of short chamber works for various combinations of instruments. Dr. Joel's style could be best described as neo-classical, with a judicious infusion of modern, jazz and folk idioms. In additional to teaching and composing, Dr. Joel is a professional storyteller, as well as a published poet, believing that a Renaissance way of life is still possible.
