Rodolfo Cogliatti

Began to study music at the age of 13. Took piano, singing and theory lessons with Marco Aurelio Xavier, one of the best choir directors of Brazil.

Still in his hometown, sang in a choir under Marco Aurelio Xavier´s direction for 6 years, as regular singer and soloist. During that time sang in a large number of concerts with the OSB, the Symphonic Brazilian Orchestra.

Took singing lessons with Haydèe Barretto at the CBM (Conservatório Brasileiro de Música), studying Italian opera and bel canto. Studied harmony, counterpoint and fugue with Sergio di Sabbato, Brazilian composer and member of the UFRJ orchestra.

In 1999 continued his studies of piano with Margarida Weinberger (graduated in the Wiener Hochschule für Musik und darstellende Kunst) and from 2004 on many of his compositions have been performed by soloists, choirs and chamber groups in his country. Currently works also as music and piano teacher.
