Beckert, Werner De Bleser, Steve Cohen, Mack Davis, Sébastien Devillers-Thijssen, Hunter Gregory, Chris Kamerling, Clement Kanye, Áhzi Kharmóna, David Evan Krebs, René Mayoral, Charles Nelson, and Soheil Shirangi.

Fifteen-Minutes-of-Fame is 15 one-minute works by different composers written for a specific performer or ensemble. This performance features the virtuosity of TC4 Saxophone Quartet presenting works of 15 composers. The members of TC4 includeAndrew Harrison, Isaac Lopez, Frances Cisneros, and Robert Alexander.

Fifteen-Minutes-of-Fame is 15 one-minute works written by different composers specifically for a musician or ensemble. Fifteen-Minutes-of-Fame gives a variety of new music by living composers to audiences hungry to hear what is being created in today's music scene.

Composer's Voice showcases full contemporary works by musicians who champion new music. Episodes of Composer's Voice air its half-hour show every 2 weeks on Saturday at 2:00 PM EDT (UTC-4) on NYC cable access TV with Manhattan Neighborhood's Network channel 2.

is proud to announce the selections for

Christopher Schoelen and solo guitar

In preparation for the celebration of the 15th year anniversary of Fifteen-Minutes-of-Fame, Vox Novus is putting out 15 seprarate calls for scores for various instrumentation. Each call is seeking for 15 one-minute works from living composers. This huge feat will create more than 180 opportunites for composers to have their works performed, get reviewed by musicians who champion new music, and reach a larger audience.

This set of 15 written for Christopher Schoelen includes works from: Nantenaina Andriamorasata, Tim Bowman, Le Tuan Hung, Michael D. Knopf, Mark Langford, Mickael Luis, Vinícius Nascimento, Akmal Parwez, Rafael de Rioja, Edward Ruchalski, Josh Schmidt, Juan María Solare, Tom Torrisi, Anna Vriend, and David Edgar Walther.

Dr. Christopher Schoelen is a seasoned performer and an award-winning guitarist. In 2019 he was awarded his Doctor of Musical Arts degree in classical guitar performance from the University of South Carolina and was also a three-times prize-winner of the school's Creativity in Music competition. He received a Master of Music degree from the New England Conservatory of Music where he studied with the world-renowned guitarist, Eliot Fisk. As a seasoned performer, he has performed in prestigious venues like Carnegie Hall in N.Y., has been a judge and given master classes in guitar festivals, and has performed internationally in various countries including Spain and Italy. He has released two solo albums as well as a recent holiday album with his duo, Deux Saisons, titled Winter's Light. Currently, Christopher maintains a robust private lesson studio and teaches guitar classes at Heidelberg University.

Vox Novus is calling for one-minute pieces composed for soprano solo

This Fifteen-Minutes-of-Fame is looking to strengthen and empower the contemporary opera community by creating one minute arias to highlight the soprano singer. Deadline for works is June 30th, 2024
