The Call for Works |
The 60x60 project announces a call for recorded works 60 seconds or less at the beginning of every year. The call is
disseminated as far and wide as possible. The goal is to collect works representative of the styles and aesthetics being written by composers that year. The call is also meant to stimulate the opportunity to composer to present ideas they would not ordinarily be able to create in other traditional venues. The next call for works can be viewed here at the following link: http://www.voxnovus.com/60x60/Call.htm

Concert
Performances
|
Concerts are planned year round. They begin as an acoustic concert season starting in October and proceed into a multimedia collaboration in January. A 60x60 concert is easily produced. All that is required is a compact disc player, sound system, and an analog clock. The concert is synchronized with the clock at the top of the hour and the performance
commences for the next 60 minutes. Visit the this link for a list of past concert performances.

Multidisciplinary
Collaborations |
The project is always on the lookout for artists and performers who are interested in collaborations outside the music
discipline. After the concert series, 60x60 collaborates with other artists who wish to express themselves with the music of the project. Currently the project has collaborated with 3 video
artists and several sculptors, however we encourage collaborations with all disciplines. An example of the a collaboration with the video
artist Shimpei Takeda can be streamed over the Internet.

CD/DVD
Release |
Each year 60x60 releases a recording of the project. In 2003 we released a CD on Capstone Records. For the next year we are endeavoring to expand out horizons by creating a CD/DVD in order to better present the works of the project. The CD/DVD is designed to promote the project to a wider audience as well as archive the project |
