I am Indian composer born in 2001. My music for solo piano, harp and electronics have been performed by various artists in India, USA, South Korea, Japan,England and Wales.

"Run" for solo clarinet was composed especially for Thomas Piercy. I always wanted to compose a piece for Tom, and this initiative presented itself as a great opportunity. The piece features a continuously moving moto perpetuo subjected to additive rhythms (giving an asymmetrical feeling) and constant pitch transformations.

The work is a variation of a Greek song. Exploits the potential of the clarinet. It is a project of not much difficulty. Can be easily performed by outgoing musicians and students. It is almost free in time.

Monica Chew

Monica Chew (https://monicachew.com) is an Oakland pianist and composer. In 2017 she released her first solo album, Tender and Strange, featuring works by Bartók, Janáček, Messiaen, Takemitsu, and Scriabin. A “gifted player with an affinity for deeply sensitive expression” (Whole Note), she has been featured on radio stations worldwide. She started composing in 2017 and couldn’t be happier about it. Prior to 2015, she worked nearly a decade as a principal software engineer on security and privacy at Mozilla and Google. She lives in Oakland with her husband, an 1899 Steinway B, a clavichord, and a disused violin.

David Gonzalez

David Gonzalez graduated from Central High School in 2018. He is currently attending California State University Fresno. David plans to graduate in 2022 with a BA in Music Education with an Instrumental Emphasis.

The inspiration for Dancing Glass came from me playing around with ideas on the clarinet. Eventually, some of those ideas evolved into the piece. I like to think that each idea is its own fragment of glass. The different fragments reflect different colors.

This short piece came to me when I got the call that very old friend just passed away. Some of the material in this piece is derived from his name while the somewhat scherzo feeling refers to happier times when we were young.

The dusk falls on a summer garden… In the lush bamboo grove breathing fills… nothing moves… the shadow of the night swallows me up… then, suddenly “Ping!” A leaf bursts. The startling moment is replaced with an affection for little creatures… momentarily, I have shared a microcosmos with them.

Manos Panayiotakis is a Greek composer and musicologist. His compositions are performed in Europe and internationally, in collaboration with orchestras and renowned artists. His papers on contemporary music are published in peer-reviewed journals and he has co-authored the Music Theory series ‘Learning Music’ published in Greece.

Cl. Micrography (2021), part of an extended cycle of miniatures for various instruments, is dedicated to Thomas Piercy, for the “Vox Novus” project. It explores the timbral potential of the Clarinet, in a binary form (AB), where section, B consists of multiphonics material, merging into the development of A1.

While studying electronics in Tokyo, composer-vocalist Akmal Parwez studied composition with Yasushi Akutagawa and Klaus Pringsheim. After completing his university studies (BE, ME), he felt compelled to devote his life to music. In the U.S. he studied composition with Florence Jolley, Leo Kraft and Samuel Adler(MA, Queens College; PhD, Eastman).

Ugo Raimondi is a composer awarded in several competitions such as: 1st prize and honorable mention at "Città di Albenga" 1st composition contest; 1st prize at Franz Schubert Konservatorium composition competition 2020, 1st prize at V “A. Falconio” composition competition. His music is played in Italy, Germany, Norway, Iran.

“Il folletto dispettoso” describes a girl who sings alone in a wood. A mischievous elf suddenly appears and begins to disturb the girl. The song ends with the elf running away into the forest and the girl singing again but with her voice disturbed by the encounter with the elf.

Giuseppe E. Rapisarda

Giuseppe E. Rapisarda graduated in Piano, Electroacoustic Music and Music Composition at Bellini Institute in Catania. He obtained a master degree in Electroacoustic Music with first class honours at the Frosinone Conservatory. His compositions have been performed all over the world. He teaches Electroacoustic Music at the Palermo Conservatory.

The way we speak, express ourselves, sing is not the same during our life. It always changes.

Emma Shifrin

. Emma Shifrin was born in Moscow; there she began her musical studies. In 1987 she moved to Israel. Graduated from the Jerusalem Rubin Academy of Music and Dance where she studied at Prof. Marc Kopitman's class (B.Mus – 1992, Artist Diploma – 1994). She Graduated with Ph.D. in composition from the Department of Music of the Bar-Ilan University (2004). Since 2004 Emma is teaching Harmony and other Music Theory disciplines in the Levinsky College of Education. Emma Shifrin wrote a number of works, among them orchestral pieces and a large amount of works for different chamber ensembles, including ensembles of ancient and ethnic instruments and also methodical compositions. Her works were performed in Israel, USA, Italy, Ukraine and Romania on different occasions. In 1994 she was awarded with the stipend of the America-Israel Cultural Foundation. In 2002 she won the Liberson Composition Contest Prize of the Israeli Composers League for her piece "Plays for Two" for Violin and Piano.

Dialogues for Clarinet is one the of series of pieces named "Dialogues" for solo instruments/ the idea is to reveal the possibilities of the dual personality and the internal conflict inside one solo instrument

Blair Whittington is a Los Angeles native and composer. His chamber music and art songs have been performed across the United States and Europe.

I had an idea for a short piece using rolling legato arpeggios that explored the clarinet's different registers. I contrasted that with clipped phrases of staccato notes and a phrase of sustained notes ends this short piece.

Sebastian Zaczek

I am a 19 year old composer and computer science student from Germany, who is particularly interested in the subjective perception of music. Gradualy evolving processes and subtle playing with timbre often play a central role in my compositions.

Tran/spare/ncy deals with two distinct materials: A slow, irregular "breathing" on a single pitch and a more jumpy, playful texture. Furthermore, there is a focus on the contrast between the thin, slightly "breathier" throat tones of the instrument and the considerably richer neighbouring tones.

Born in 2004, Tehran. His composing style is influenced by various musical languages, specifically contemporary classical,jazz,and Iranian traditional music. He is studying composition with Mohammad H. Javaheri and is a member of the Young Composers' Community. Parsa will start his bachelors in 2022 at Kunst-Universität Graz with Beat Furrer.
